December Blog
You know it’s almost Christmas when the music on the radio changes to the pogues and slade and the car is frosted over in the mornings. This year I have already written my Christmas shopping list, bought my Secret Santa and posted my Christmas cards. All that’s left to do it put up the tree, decorate the house, wrap the presents, bake and welcome my family on Christmas Eve!
Christmas is the only time of the year that I get to gather my family around me. Dashing back and forth across the country for TV and Demonstration commitments, I don’t get chance to catch up with everyone, so this year will be special. I’m planning that we will drink Sherry, eat mince pies, put our stockings out for Father Christmas, and then go to Midnight Mass. We’ll then wake up early on Christmas day to watch my Niece and Nephew open their presents until the room is full of wrapping paper and the dogs start rummaging though looking for treats!
The day passes in a blur of laughter and too much food, and will no doubt end with us all watching the Christmas film with a pile of dogs and children in front of the fire, until someone suggests a Turkey Sandwich!
